Spanish Travel Health Update
Welcome to the Spain Travel Health update from SGM ABOGADOS.
To protect your health, the Government of Spain has implemented a series of measures to protect the general public’s health, including health control of passengers upon arrival in Spain. From this website https://spth.gob.es/ you can fill out the health control form and obtain your QR Code, to show it at the control points upon arrival in Spain.
Important news:
Who has to have proof of vaccination, diagnostic test or certificate of recovery?
From 7 June 2021, all those passengers from a country/area that has a SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus risk, must present, a certificate or document certifying vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative certificate of a Diagnostic Test of Active Infection or a certificate of Recovery after having passed this disease in order to enter Spain. This can be a EU Digital COVID Certificate, in the case of the EU, or a supporting document of those indicated above, whether the traveller arrives from an EU member state or from a third country. Children under 6 years of age are not required to present these certificates or supporting documents.
Who has to fill out the Health Control Form?
All persons entering Spain from other countries, including international transits, regardless of their nationality, age or any other consideration, in compliance with the provisions of Royal Decree-Law 8/2021, of 4 May, and current legislation relative to the health controls to be carried out at the points of entry into Spain. Each form is personal and non-transferable and is associated with a single trip. In case the passenger is a minor, or a dependent/disabled person, the form can be completed by their guardian, who will be responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
What do I have to bring with me to pass the sanitary control at the airport?
Before travelling to Spain make sure you have signed the form on the website https://spth.gob.es/ or on our mobile app. With this you will obtain the QR code that you will have to show (paper or on mobile phone) to the company before boarding and at the health control upon arrival in Spain. If you sign the form from the app it will appear in the “My Trips” section, and you will also receive an email that you can print. REMEMBER: If you come from a country/are area considered of risk, you must bring with you one of the certifying certificates/documents, listed below:
