The Spanish government has relaunched its popular Verano Joven (“Young Summer”) programme for 2025, offering huge travel discounts for young people—both Spanish and foreign—living legally in Spain. Here’s what you need to know:

Time frame: July 1 to September 30, 2025
Eligibility window: Travellers born between January 1, 1995 and December 31, 2007 (ages 18–30)

Tourists or short‑term visitors are excluded

Interrail Global Flexible 10‑day pass (valid for 2 months) when purchased via Renfe
🛠️ How to get the discount:
Register on the Ministry of Transport’s dedicated website (not yet live, but expected in June).
Use NIE/DNI/passport + digital ID (Cl@ve or certificate).
Receive a personal, non-transferable code—valid for the full period
Book at least one day after registering.
Enter the code on Renfe or bus-operator websites when buying tickets
📝 Booking rules & fair usage:
You can’t book more than one return ticket per day for the same origin-destination, unless the first trip has already taken place
Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance may count as misuse.
Misuse can result in code revocation and fines (up to €750 by rail, €200 by bus)
